I was asked to create a user-friendly product design for a luxury bridal app. I created a product that the client was excited to integrate into their workflow, helping to enhance the in-store bridal experience and boost engagement ring sales.
When a Canadian leader in unified commerce approached me about designing a tablet app to improve their in-store bridal experience, I was excited to tackle the project. They had seen an increased drop in diamond engagement sales, and after improving their digital experience, they wanted to provide something similar to help boost their in-store sales.
However, after budget delays, and pausing and re-starting the project due to internal challenges, the timeline to produce the designs came down to only a few weeks for the complete research, design, and approval process.
With the deadline fast approaching, I got to work designing a tablet application that would seamlessly integrate into the sales professionals' regular workflow. I provided a solution that would be easy to use and would meet the needs of both the sales staff and in-store clients.
I created a visually appealing app that allowed sales professionals to quickly quote a client their ideal ring. Whether the client comes into the store with an ideal ring/mount or stone, the sales professionals can quickly and easily show the client their ring, quote them a price, and provide them a printed or emailed quote that they can come back to.
I also designed a client profile to house the provided quotes so they can be easily found, and to quickly search for clients in the database to ensure we reduce duplicates and provide sales professionals the tools they need to communicate with each other across the client journey.

After the short turnaround, the results were shock and awe. Initial testing with the sales professionals elicited more joy than I could have expected as I walked them through the product. The response was met with one repeated sentiment… WOW!!!
Both sales professionals and high-level stakeholders were all amazed at the product I provided in such a short turnaround time.
This project demonstrated how thoughtful UX/UI design can transform the in-store retail experience, even under tight deadlines.
Despite the tight timeline, I followed a thorough design process to ensure the app met all requirements and provided an exceptional user experience.
This project was a perfect example of how thoughtful UX/UI design can have an immediate and tangible impact on business results, even with significant time constraints. The enthusiastic response from both the sales team and management was incredibly rewarding.
The success of this project has opened up opportunities for further collaboration on enhancing the in-store experience with digital tools, demonstrating the value of investing in well-designed technology solutions for retail environments.
